FARGO -- A NDSU professor took his classroom outside on Monday to teach his geology course.
Dr. Ken Lepper has been doing a 'Red River Bike Ride' every summer for the past 5 years.
The class started at the Fargodome and worked their way towards Oak Grove.
Along the way Dr. Lepper taught his students about soil placement and erosion.
“During the summer course, we have an opportunity to do some non-traditional things like getting out of the classroom. And I think this is one of the days were this is the most fun of the summer geology course.” says Dr. Lepper.
