Fargo's Sanctuary Events Center announces 8 concerts by Sir Mix-A-Lot, X Ambassadors, The Jayhawks and more

FARGO - The new Sanctuary Events Center in downtown Fargo will host eight concerts this year featuring the likes of Sir Mix-A-Lot, The Jayhawks, X Ambassadors and Animal Collective.

The soon-to-open venue, located at 670 4th Ave. N. in the fully renovated former St. Mark's building, made public its first performance schedule Wednesday, April 20, when promoter Jade Presents announced eight shows that span genres.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, at the Tickets300 box office, or by calling (866) 300-8300.

Here's the schedule and ticket prices:

• R&B group Sonny Knight & The Lakers, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, private event.

• Rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot, 8 p.m. Saturday, July 9, $26 in advance.

• Alternative country band The Jayhawks, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, $26.

• Singer-songwriter The Tallest Man on Earth, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, $25.

• Americana and Red Dirt outfit Turnpike Troubadours, 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, $22.50 in advance.

• Alternative rock band X Ambassadors, 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, $26.

• Experimental rock group Animal Collective, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, $29.50.

• Country rap duo The Lacs, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, $20 in advance.

• Comedian Chad Daniels, 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, $21 to $31.
