Valley Senior Services gets a big boost from the federal government
This Valley Senior Services storage facility opened at the end of 2010. The program gives out about 45 thousand rides every year.
The building cost about 1.4 million dollars. North Dakota's U-S congressmen just announced the federal government is picking up early 1.1 million of the tab.
BRIAN ARETT - Director of Valley Senior Services: "It wouldn't have happened, it absolutely wouldn't have happened were it not for the federal funding. We'd still be parked in three different locations and really shoe-horning things in. We actually wouldn't have had enough space with the new vehicles that we've acquired."
The building holds the programs 9 vans and 2 buses. It's big enough to hold 16 vans and 12 buses.
