The Rourke provide visitors with access to the regions and the worlds artistic heritage.
It's programs are focused on a deep understanding of and respect for all artistic and cultural traditions. The Museums permanent collection is built primarily around works from three sources: the art of our Upper Midwest region; art by important 20th Century artists; and art from the cultures that inspired those artists, including African, Pre-Columbian, Hispanic and Native American plains and woodland cultures. The Gallery showcases work by local and regional artists, from emerging to more established artists. Together, the Museum and the Gallery host between 15-20 temporary exhibitions annually.
