Winner, SD (WDAY TV) - A 23-year-old rancher who’s family had fallen behind in their taxes and recently had a mobile home repossessed has claimed a $232.1 million Powerball jackpot. Neal Wanless, who lives on his family's 320-acre ranch near mission, South Dakota, bought the winning ticket in the nearby town of Winner late last month during a trip to buy livestock feed.
WINNER, S.D. (AP) — It's been 100 years since this South Dakota ranch town lived up to its name, but it has done so in a big way for whoever bought a Powerball ticket worth $232.1 million. Word spread quickly that the winning ticket had been sold this community of about 3,000 people.
