GRAFTON, ND (WDAZ-TV) - People in the Grafton area woke up to high winds and heavy rains as a storm ripped through town. Hundreds of trees caused damage around town, forcing the city and residents to spend hours cleaning up.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) in partnership with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) has CLOSED all of I-29 in the state due to blowing snow resulting in near zero visibility.
A travel alert remains in effect from the North Dakota Department of Transportation for the Fargo, Jamestown, Valley City, Grand Forks, Devils Lake and Minot areas. Some icy patches in Minnesota are also causing difficult driving conditions.
Pillsbury, ND (WDAY TV) - Strong winds are being blamed for a path of destruction on farms in rural Barnes County. It happened in the Pillsbury and Luverne, North Dakota area. This damage comes after a night of tornado warnings and storms that swept through a good part of our region.
