Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) – It is a major step forward in the fight for flood protection in the valley. Army Corps General Michael Walsh held a private meeting with city and county officials on both sides of the Red River are saying the required environmental study on downstream effects is way ahead of schedule.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - We've been hearing a lot about the need for a diversion in the Valley to help with flood control and flood protection, but tonight it was retention projects getting the attention at the Cass County Commission meeting.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Money for a water retention project won't be coming from Fargo City Hall. Commissioners say the city's pocketbook can't handle helping with another flood prevention project. Representatives pushing for the Waffle Concept are trying to find sponsors to help fund more research and pilot projects in the area.
