BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A power company is planning to build electrical transmission lines and a substation in the area of a historical 1864 battle between Army soldiers and American Indians in what is now western North Dakota.
Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) -- Our southern part of the valley missed the heavy snow fall, but the early morning commute became a nightmare for many when thousands were left without power, as heavy snow fell.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Power has been restored to most of the 200,000 Xcel Energy customers who lost service in the weekend snowstorm. Utility crews worked around the clock to restore power that was knocked out by high winds, wet snow and falling tree branches. Xcel spokesman Tom Hoen says about 10,000 customers were still without power Monday morning.
