GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - A one-vehicle rollover just south of Grand Forks sent a man to the hospital with injuries Friday evening. The rollover happened just before 7 p.m. on I-29 about one mile south of Grand Forks.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) detoured I-29 traffic between the Manvel and Grafton Interchanges at 4 p.m. today due to water on the roadway
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) in partnership with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) has OPENED US 83 from Bismarck to Minot. Also Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Dickinson is now OPEN.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation says 18 drivers were rescued on I-29 from Fargo to Grand Forks overnight. Some were taken to Altru Hospital with frostbite and other cold-weather injuries. The DOT is urging drivers to stay off closed roadways so that they do not become stranded.
All of I-29 in North Dakota remains closed Saturday morning as well as I-94 from Bismarck all the way to Alexandria, MN due to blowing snow that is causing very low visibility. The interstates have been closed for the better part of two days.
