HALSTAD, Minn. – A husband and wife from Hillsboro, N.D., were taken to a Fargo hospital Wednesday night after their car collided with the front corner of a beet topper being pulled by a tractor on a bridge over the Red River, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

While Halstad is dry today, they did have some tense moments over night. Water started seeping into the less protected North side of town. They were again moving train cars with a pay loader in Halstad today to make room for pumps. Last night they had to do the same thing to plug a leak here just on the north edge of town.
Traill County, ND (WDAY-TV) -- A Grandin, North Dakota teenager is in juvenile detention, accused of shooting another teenager late Thursday night.
Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker says the shooting appears to be accidental. The 16-year-old shooter will be facing charges of reckless endangerment and underage drinking.
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Police arrested a Moorhead woman who drove her car onto a sidewalk in Halstad, hitting at least seven people early Sunday morning. 20-year-old Michelle Torres drove away from the scene outside of the American Legion when she was hit by another driver who didn't stop at an intersection about two blocks away.
