St. Paul, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Friends, family, and communities around the country are mourning the deaths of fallen officers. Officers killed in the line of duty. Mahnomen County Deputy Chris Dewey's name now lines a monument at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Mahnomen, Minn. (WDAY TV) - He was shot in the line of duty in Mahnomen a year and a half ago, buried in the Twin Cities less than 2-weeks ago, and tonight the community he served honored the life of Deputy Chris Dewey.
(WDAY TV) - The trial for the man accused of shooting Mahnomen County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Dewey has been postponed. 33-year-old Thomas Fairbanks was supposed to stand trial on September 20th, but after Dewey died earlier this month and charges were amended.
(WDAY TV) - A moving memorial to honor the life of a man we grew to know the past 18 months: Mahnomen County Deputy Chris Dewey. Thousands of people and law enforcement officers came to say goodbye in the Twin Cities. Deputy Dewey died last Monday, 18 months after being shot in the line of duty, once in the head and twice in the stomach.
