Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With state wide school closings and wind chill warnings, you might think Monday's cold is out of the ordinary, unfortunately, it's not.
History tells us it could be, and may become a bit worse.
The National Weather Service may be issuing a new type of weather warning in the next weeks. The NWS offices of North and South Dakota and Minnesota will experiment with issuing “extreme cold warnings.”
