Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Thousands of runners laced up their tennis shoes tonight for the "unofficial" start to Marathon activities. The 5-K run/walk tonight is the largest 5-k in the state, with about 65 hundred people.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Fargo Marathon's goal of 20-thousand runners in 2010 has been reached. Race Director Mark Knutson is confident that goal was surpassed this morning. It doesn’t mean 20-thousand people will run. Knutson says some may not show up.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - More than 18-thousand runners alone participating in Fargo Marathon events; add cheering family, friends, and volunteers and you've got a lot of new faces in our area. We'll not only see a surge of people and energy along the race course, but also a boost to business over the weekend. Some course-side store's expectations are very high, while others say it's like any other day.
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - As the days get shorter, the local running community is doing what it can to shed some light on the night. Beyond Running in downtown Fargo has group runs a few times a week, but tonight's jog was different. It wasn't about getting a personal best, instead, it centered on safety, and how it's a runner's responsibility to make themselves visible.
