LANGDON, N.D. (AP) — Teachers are talking about geography in Langdon. The North Dakota Geographic Alliance of Minot State University is conducting a geography workshop this week, with trips around the area. Its title is "Small Town — A Cultural Rendezvous."
LANGDON, N.D. (AP) — Residents of Langdon are remembering the tornado that hit the northeastern North Dakota community 100 years ago, killing five people. Three of those who died in the May 29, 1909, tornado were children. More than a dozen other people were hurt. The tornado destroyed two churches and two elevators, and many houses were damaged or destroyed.
