GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Some University of North Dakota sports supporters are nervous about a statewide vote that will allow the people to decide whether the school should keep or get rid of the Fighting Sioux nickname.

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Forward Brock Nelson is the first non-senior to leave the Fighting Sioux men's hockey team. The Warroad, MN, native has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the NHL's New York Islanders who drafted him in the first round in 2010.
(WDAZ-TV) - The leader of the petition drive aimed at putting the Fighting Sioux nickname and logo into North Dakota's constitution says the Big Sky commissioner is spreading "deception and half-truths" about potential consequences for UND.
GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) - Thursday marked the repeal of the state law the requires UND to keep The Fighting Sioux nickname and logo.
Now, nickname backers have announced they will begin a petition drive to put that law back place.
