Werkhoven defeats former police chief Ross in Valley City Recall Election
Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - The votes have been counted and incumbent Mayor Bob Werkhoven of Valley City has fended off a recall attempt. Nearly 2,000 people turned out for the vote. Werkhoven won nearly 57% of the votes with 1,128. Former police Chief Dean Ross tallied 860 votes for 43% of the total.
