Kindred officials declare a state of emergency
Kindred, ND (WDAY TV) - Overland flood prone Kindred is the latest city to get in line to prepare for the possible rush of waters this spring. City officials declared a state of emergency at tonight's council meeting, but for this small town, the biggest concern isn't within the city limits.

Rural homeowners concerned with overland and river flooding
Kindred, ND (WDAY TV) - With heightened concern rivers will hit major flood stage this spring; rural homeowners also have overland flooding to worry about. Breakouts from rivers led to problems in the past, and this year, all the snow we've had won't help matters once it melts.

Kindred congregation make quilts for the homeless
Kindred, ND (WDAY TV) - Work is moving along on Fargo’s Cooper House. Crews are dry walling and painting sections of the apartment complex which will house the city's chronically homeless. There will be 32-efficiency apartments and ten single bedroom units.

Superintendent fills in as bus driver to cover for sick staff
Kindred, ND (WDAY TV) - The flu season is already ramping up. Just this week we told you about the first school district in the state closing because of the flu. Fort Yates had hundreds of students out sick and it's not only students who are suffering. Many rural districts are being forced to get creative to get subs for sick staff and it's given Kindred's Superintendent a unique job.
