Updated: Body of pilot found in plane wreckage
MAHNOMEN, Minn. (AP) - Clearwater County officials say the body of a missing pilot has been found in the wreckage of a small plane near Mahnomen. Searchers reached the wreckage in a remote, wooded location Wednesday. County attorney and spokeswoman Jeanine Brand says the body of pilot Andrew Lindberg was found inside the plane.

Man charged with shooting a Mahnomen County Deputy wants his trial moved
Mahnomen, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The man charged with pulling the trigger in the shooting of a Mahnomen County Deputy, says he can't get a fair trial. Thomas Fairbanks wants the trial to be held somewhere else.

Man gets 2 years as accomplice in deputy shooting
MAHNOMEN, Minn. (AP) — An accomplice in the February shooting of a Mahnomen County Sheriff's deputy has been sentenced to two years in prison. Twenty-seven-year-old Daniel Vernier pleaded guilty this summer to failing to render assistance to the critically wounded deputy. He was sentenced Wednesday.

Deputies honored at Twins game for their courage
