Lions Club members hold vision screenings Horace, ND (WDAY TV) - Vision testing in area schools may be more important than you think. Today, elementary students in Horace got their eyes checked. The Lions Club did this screening for the first time in April of 08. That year out of the 200 kids tested, 22 per cent had vision problems.

Judge grants custody to slain dentist's brother FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A judge has awarded custody of the 3-year-old daughter of a slain Fargo dentist to her uncle and his wife. The attorney for Roy Gattuso, of Gretna, La., said Gattuso and his wife were granted temporary emergency custody of Kennedy Gattuso. Attorney DeAnn Pladson said Tuesday's ruling was only one step in a long process.

(WDAY TV) - Despite opposition to a proposed ice arena in Fergus Falls, the city council is going ahead with phase one of the project tonight. The city will now commit almost 100 thousand dollars, to draw up plans. City leaders are going into this without a guarantee that it'll move forward.

Draining Devils Lake raises concerns downstream Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - North Dakota's water commission today approved giving a 15 million dollar upgrade to the Devils Lake outlet that drains floodwaters into the Sheyenne River. It'll move up to 6 inches of water off the flooded lake under ideal conditions. While it's good news for Devils Lake, some people downstream in Valley City are worried about more water coming their way.

He's charged with conspiracy to commit murder and burglary. As you know, Gattuso was found dead in his ransacked home in south Fargo a week ago tonight.
