Stage set for Pawlenty's solo budget cuts in Minn.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota's top finance official has notified Gov. Tim Pawlenty that the state doesn't have enough money for the next two years. The determination from Management and Budget Commissioner Tom Hanson is required before Pawlenty can cut spending on his own using executive authority, a process called unallotment.
