Senate hearing on permanent protectionFargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A historic flood meeting in Fargo brings out local, state, and federal leaders to talk about permanent control. Senator Byron Dorgan held a senate meeting at the dome. Lawmakers from Fargo-Moorhead, Cass, and Clay counties and both Minnesota and North Dakota joined forces. The hearing comes three weeks after a flood meeting in Washington D.C. the Corps has outlined two plans, a one billion dollar diversion and a 625 million dollar levee system including Fargo’s south side control project.
