WDAY: The News Leader

Robin Huebner

I’m very happy to be part of the team at WDAY-TV and The Forum after 26 years solely in the television news business. I love to write, and I’m able to continue pursuing that passion as I help produce and co-anchor WDAY 6 News at 5:00 with TJ Nelson, and report for The Forum. Though I was born in Moorhead, MN, most of my childhood years were spent in Dickinson, ND. It was there that I started gymnastics, and I later went on to compete as an elite gymnast, both nationally and internationally. As a 14 year old, I was the US National Champion in the all-around and a 1976 Olympic Trials participant. My gymnastics career continued into college at the University of Minnesota, where I was a 6 time Big Ten Champion and Senior Athlete of the Year. At the U of M, I received a degree in broadcast journalism. My first intention was to go into TV sports, but I ended up in news because sports jobs for women at the time were few and far between. News ended up being a good fit, and I'm glad I'm still at it! Please join us on WDAY weekdays at 5:00 pm, and read my stories in The Forum.
