Molly Thorvilson

Molly Thorvilson is the 6 and 10 p.m. anchor and producer at WDAZ.

Molly is a two-time Teddy Award winner for Best TV News Anchor in the state of North Dakota from the North Dakota Broadcast Association in 2011 and 2012.

A Plymouth, MN, native, Molly describes herself as a Midwest girl at heart.

She began her broadcast career in eastern Iowa, covering major stories in Cedar Rapids like the epic floods of 2008 and the Iowa Caucuses.

Molly earned her degree in journalism from the University of Iowa. She also studied in London, interning in the CNBC Europe newsroom.

Molly has been honored for her journalistic work in Iowa, including an Emmy nomination for investigative reporting and awards from the Iowa Broadcast News Association and the Iowa Motion Picture Association.

Although she's a Hawkeye, Molly has fully embraced UND Men's Hockey and hopes to catch a few NHL games in Winnipeg.

(WDAZ-TV) - An elderly man died in a lawn mower accident in rural Climax Wednesday morning. Police say 81-year-old DuWayne Rarick was riding a lawn mower in a steep ditch when it rolled on top of him.
