Crystal, ND, Man Critical After Pembina County Rollover

The Highway Patrol says, at 7:45 a.m., 54-year-old Gary Barclay was driving his 2002 Chevy pickup south on Pembina County road 12 one mile south of North Dakota Highway 66 southwest of Crystal when he lost control of the pickup.

A Crystal, ND, man is in critical condition after rolling his pickup in Pembina County Saturday morning.

The Highway Patrol says, at 7:45 a.m., 54-year-old Gary Barclay was driving his 2002 Chevy pickup south on Pembina County road 12 one mile south of North Dakota Highway 66 southwest of Crystal when he lost control of the pickup.

Barclay over-corrected and slid sideways across the highway into the east ditch. The pickup rolled several times and came to rest on its wheels.

Barclay was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, according to an accident report.

Barclay was taken to First Care Hospital in Park River but has since been transferred to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks and is still in critical condition with injuries to his chest and back as of Monday evening.

The crash remains under investigation.
