Grand Forks police have identified the suspect in a hit and run accident that left one man injured.
Police say 42-year-old Rhonda Wilkens of Grand Forks is charged with fleeing the scene of an accident and could face a year in jail and/or a $2,000 fine if convicted.
An arrest warrant had not been issued as of Monday evening but is expected to be Tuesday.
Wilkens allegedly struck a scooter driven by 22-year-old Lucas Kiefer of Grand Forks at the intersection of N. 15th St. and University Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. Friday.
Kiefer was injured and taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Kiefer had been released but was re-admitted due to severe pelvis injuries, his step mother said Monday.
Wilkens allegedly fled the scene heading south on N. 15th St. in a white four-door car with front-end passenger side damage near the headlight area and windshield damage.
Kiefer was heading east on University when he was struck by Wilkins.
