Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - The West Fargo Packers surprised everyone going from the 7th seed in the east region tournament, to the final four of the state tournament.

A win tonight against west top seed Bismarck, would send the Packers to their first ever state championship.

You saw it right here on WDAY.

West Fargo fell behind 2-0 after one, but had a 2-man advantage midway thru the 2nd.

But, the Demons made sure that didn't matter, they play it off the boards, and Tre Kautzman comes in all alone and scores.

He had his 2nd hat trick in as many games.

15 seconds later, still down 2 skaters, they strike again; Jared Spooner this time makes it 4-0 Bismarck High.

Game over at that point, but West Fargo makes sure it isn't a shutout.

Riley Varburg scores a power play goal off the skate of the goaltender in the third.

But, that's only a hiccup as Bismarck sends West Fargo into the 3rd place game with a 7-1 defeat.
