Prosecutors have charged the Cass County Administrator with domestic abuse. But an attorney, speaking for Keith Berndt, says he got a ticket in the mail and they have not received a police report. She says Berndt did not assault anyone and will enter a not guilty plea. Berndt is charged with 2 counts of assault. Police say the victim is a minor and the incident happened in Berndt's home earlier this month. The alleged abuse was reported by a school resource officer. The 53 year old Berndt has not been arrested.

Four Grand Forks women are accused of making meth close to a school. 56-year-old Kathy Kielty, 65-year-old Audrey Morris, 24-year-old Ashley Brown and 51-year-old Tina Metcalf are all charged with manufacturing meth within 1,000 feet of a school, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. A search of Kielty's home turned up equipment for making meth along with a glass tube with meth residue.

A middle school football coach and teacher's aide is being charged with the abduction and murder of a 10-year-old girl in Missouri. Neighbors watched in horror as Hailey Owens was snatched by a man in a car as she walked home from a friend's house Tuesday. Police believe remains found in two garbage bags are that of the girl. 45-year-old Craig Wood is charged with kidnapping and murder.

The top medic for the protesters occupying central Kiev says at least 70 protesters have been killed in clashes with police in the Ukrainian capital...and that number is expected to rise. Despite a truce called by Ukraine's protest leaders and President Viktor Yanukovych, street fighting between demonstrators and police in the center of Kiev continues. Diplomats from Germany, France and Poland are meeting today with both sides. Ukraine's Interior ministry says 67 police troops have been captured by protesters. One opposition lawmaker says the police are being held in Kiev's city hall, which is being occupied by protesters.

One lucky person purchased a winning Powerball ticket in central California. Wednesday night's 425 million dollar Powerball drawing has a cash payout option of $242 point 2 million dollars. The ticket was sold at a convenience store in the San Francisco area.
