Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) Ethanol is the hot topic at the 2014 North Dakota Corn Grower's "Corn-vention."
It kicked off at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, bringing ag vendors, corn farmers and industry experts under one roof.
This year's theme is "Fueling The Future," and there is plenty of talk of a newer blend of ethanol called E-15.
It blends 85% gas with 15% ethanol, made from corn.
It will be available at Petroserv stations, along with E85.
Organizers say when drivers choose ethanol over traditional fuel; it's a win for the consumer and the farmer.
Betsy Armour/Comm. Manager, ND Corn Growers Assoc. “there's so many uses for corn, we always tell the kids the 4 f's for corn, Food, fuel, fiber, feed. So there's just so much going on right now with corn and what we can do with it.”
The Corn Growers Association is hoping for 300 people each day of the event.
