Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) - We begin tonight in Stutsman County - where the search today intensified for a missing Jamestown woman.

78-year old Ruby Grenz was last seen Tuesday night - 4 planes joined the search..

It's been 3 nights since Ruby Grenz was last seen here at Second Avenue Salon., and the search has now grown past city limits.

Gary Peterson/Captain, Jamestown Police Dept:"We're trying to locate the van that she was driving, the Dodge Caravan ."

And with search teams now looking for that silver 2005 Dodge Caravan in the air as well as on the ground, Grenz's family is still holding on.

Linette Strube/Ruby Grenz’s Daughter: "there's this little part of you that remains hopeful, but you also have to be realistic. There's been some cold nights. Nights are the hardest."

They say their mother was on medication, after the death of their father a year ago.

Strube: "She had been dealing with bouts of depression, you know you have good moments and bad moments and as Cindy mentioned coming up on the year anniversary it was weighing on her."

And her not having those, her heart meds from a bypass surgery, or heavy winter clothing...

Strube: "we know she doesn't have any of that with her"

is leaving Ruby Grenz's daughters in doubt.

Strube: "We just want her found, good or bad. That's kind of where we're at. I dont know if there's much hope but we just want her found good or bad, either way. There's just so many unanswered questions "

9,000 square miles around Jamestown have now been searched through the air or ground, with planes going up again tomorrow, some are equipped with thermal imaging. So far, they have found nothing.

Anyone who may have seen Grenz or her vehicle are asked to call Jamestown Police at 701-252-1000.
