Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - If you've been down Veterans Boulevard lately near 32nd Avenue South, You've probably noticed construction for an apartment building, you thought could go on for blocks.
Each level of the new, 3 story complex will be the size of nearly two and a half football fields.
Area developers call it the 330 Plex- that's because this huge building going up behind me will be home to 330 apartments.
It's big, It's grand, More like the Titanic of apartment complexes.
West Fargo's largest ever.
Most apartments in town have roughly 40 units - this one, more than eight times that number.
Each level of the new building boasts a mighty 138-thousand square feet.
There are three of them, with more than 3 acres on each floor and all under one roof.
Larry Weil/West Fargo Planning Director: “It's going to provide for another type of housing opportunity, higher clientele apartments.”
Developers say only blocks from the soon to be Sanford hospital, this site is perfect for a middle to upper class market.
Featuring 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, hotel-like guest bedrooms, and an enclosed pool and exercise facility, even underground parking.
Weil: "This will be really good for the city. We're looking forward to them opening and the whole corridor developing and it has been very quickly."
The project is so big; builders have to do it in sections.
They started on the South side of the building and are working their way North.
And tell me the first apartments should be available sometime late spring.
