Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -The premier event of the Sochi Olympics begins tomorrow when the men's hockey tournament drops the puck.

Team USA gets to wait an extra day before they start.

The Americans were close to a gold medal in 2010, losing to Canada in overtime and know expectations are high for the U.S. to get back and win it this time.

Zach Parise, Team USA forward: “Every team feels like it’s their time, regardless of where the games are played. Internally you assume everyone feels they can win the gold medal. Just because we finished second last time, it's not guaranteeing anything, we know how hard it is to get back there.”

Ryan Suter, USA defenseman: “Feel very fortunate to be able to have another chance to win a gold medal. Not a lot of people get a second chance to try to accomplish something.”

Team USA faces Slovakia at 6:30 a.m., the Canadians matchup with Norway on Thursday.
