Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -The Plains Art Museum is offering free music, hoping you'll 'open your heart’ in return.

The museum is hosting a noon concert series this week for "Giving Hearts Day."

Dakota Medical Foundation's online give-a-thon raised $3.5 million last year for nearly 180 charities.

The concert today featured musicians who are all professors at local colleges, who played romantic chamber music.

The museum hopes the concerts will bring people in to learn about the fundraiser and give.

Laurie Wigtil, Plains Art Museum director of development: "We thought concerts from some of the artist in the community that people really enjoy would draw more people here, give us a chance to share the museum and talk a little about what Giving Hearts does for us."

The Museum will host two more noon concerts this week for Giving Hearts Day, which happens Feb. 13.
