Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -Change is coming for MSUM freshmen who've been taking online classes designed to educate them about the consequences of alcohol abuse.

The online program is seven years old, and was getting poor reviews from students.

So MSUM will weave the alcohol education into a course called "First Year Experience."

Faculty, specially trained for this class, will teach the course.

Students said they preferred a classroom instructor over a computer.

Denise Gorsline: "an online interacting with print is not effective in changing behavior."

The course will start this fall.
