Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - While there have been plenty of fender-benders this year in the area, fewer have involved Fargo city plows.

Fargo Public works says there have only been 2 accidents so far involving a car and one of its plows, down from 7 last year. That matches Moorhead Public works' number.

North Dakota's DOT says there haven't been any such accidents with its vehicles in Fargo.

Ben Dow - Fargo Public Works: “You know we've had about 28 inches total this year, and generally around this time we're seeing somewhere in the 40 range so, yeah, we've done a little less plowing.”

Dow says snowplow driver training has also helped keep the amount of accidents down.
