Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - NDSU wanted to establish itself as the Summit League's best team, and with each dunk in Saturday's win over, then co-leader IPFW, the Bison hammered home that point again and again.

NDSU took down the Dons, 69-58 and with 5 games left in the regular season, the top seed is theirs to lose.

Saul Phillips/NDSU Head Coach: “This group has a poise about them. After IUPUI, we win the game and all I hear is about how poorly we played. Yeah, that's fine, but we won. But, if you could re-write history. The year we made the NCAA tournament, we lost to Southern Utah. We beat UMKC in overtime. So, it happens. Basketball season is long. Weird things happen. This is college basketball and this is why we watch.”
