Detroit Lakes, MN (WDAY TV) - It may not be as large-scale as the games happening in Sochi right now, but some kids in Detroit Lakes had their own Olympic games Sunday afternoon.

As part of Polar Fest, BJ's Barbecue Shack in Detroit Lakes built an obstacle course behind the restaurant.

The kid-sized course featured bobsled, hockey, and even an Olympic flame.

Each year, Polar Fest brings the community out to play.

Brent Blake/ BJ’s BBQ Shack Owner: "It really gets the community involved in a time of year when it's sometimes difficult to get everybody together and get outside and do different things. It's a really fun event and it's grown over the years."

Other Polar Fest activities continue all week, leading up to the Polar Plunge on Saturday.
