An Arvilla, ND, woman was treated for neck and hand injuries after an accident on Highway 2, one mile west of Arvilla.
Brekka Lund, 26, was heading eastbound on Highway 2 coming from Devils Lake at about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
After Lund crossed the westbound lanes to turn onto 32nd Ave., she stopped at a median crossover to wait for eastbound traffic to pass. According to the Highway Patol, Lund pulled out of the median and merged onto the eastbound lanes but did not see a 2005 Kenworth flatbed truck driven by Douglas Sannes, 59, of Fargo.
Sannes was unable to stop in time and rear-ended Lund's vehicle, causing it to strike a bridge side partition. Sannes pulled his vehicle over onto the side of the highway and was uninjured in the crash.
Lund was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks via Larimore Ambulance. She was treated for neck and hand injuries and was released.
Lund's Honda had extensive rear-end damage. Sannes' truck had moderate front-end damage.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
