Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Sanford Health is kicking off National Wear Red for Women day by unveiling a new heart check center at West Acres.

The kiosk is the first of its kind in Fargo and provides an accurate blood pressure reading for free.

People no longer have to go to the doctor to get it checked- instead they can sit down, slip their arm into the cuff, and within two minutes, get an accurate reading.

The machine tells users what blood pressure is considered normal and steps to take if yours is too high.

Holly Reinhardt/Sanford Center for Screening Manger: "It's really important for us to be out there supporting the community in prevention matters and so, keeping track of your blood pressure is certainly one of them. Especially with heart disease being a target for the month of February, we thought this would be a perfect fit."

People can stop by Sanford's kiosk whenever West Acres is open... it's located near Bath and Body Works.
