Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - Good afternoon. Welcome to the WDAY 6 News update.

A woman is being held in Cass County Jail on suspicion of murder after her husband's body was found Monday. 60-year-old Sherry Midstokke of Finley was taken into custody. Her 66-year-old husband, Lyle Midstokke was found dead Monday morning. Finley is a city of about 445 people located about 90 miles northwest of Fargo. No other details are being released at this time.

A 16-year-old male student in Northern Cass County was airlifted to a hospital this morning after a snowmobile accident. The call came in just before 7:45 this morning. Officials say the teen was by himself at the time of the accident. No word yet on his condition.

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton did not look far to find a new running mate. He announced this morning that his chief of staff, Tina Flint Smith, will replace Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon on this year's ballot. Prettner Solon didn't want to serve a second term. Tina Flint Smith has been his chief aide since he took office in 2011. Smith is deeply rooted in Minnesota politics, counting Walter Mondale among her past bosses. Jaime Tincher will serve as Dayton's his new Chief of Staff beginning next week.

A Moorhead man who broke into a home and assaulted people before leading police on a high-speed chase is sentenced to five years in prison. 23-year-old Emmanual Kennedy pleaded guilty to felony assault and a firearms charge. An attempted murder charge was dropped. In August, Kennedy and three others showed up at a Moorhead home wielding guns and wearing facemasks and gloves. They demanded cash from those inside. One man was shot at. Another hit in the head with the butt of a shotgun.

The owner of Fargo's Santa Lucia wants the city to waive a fine after her restaurant had an alcohol compliance test last year. The restaurant failed a random test after serving beer to a minor.

The owner blames the public health office, saying mandatory server training courses don't teach servers how to use a calculator to determine a customer's age. The server poured a beer for a minor after she and another server incorrectly calculated the customer's age. Alcohol and tobacco prevention coordinator for Fargo Cass Public Health says the server who failed the test did *not attend training. The restaurant was fined $500.

Microsoft has a new CEO. Satya Nadella is replacing Steve Ballmer and is only the third leader in the software company's 38-year history. Company founder Bill Gates is also leaving the chairman role for a new role as technology adviser. 46 year-old Nadella is a 22 year Microsoft veteran and has been an executive in some of the company's fastest-growing and most-profitable businesses.
