Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Keegan Cronin is used to winning, the West Fargo junior is the 4th ranked wrestler in the state at 113 pounds, but it's after an injury that Cronin finds himself in the biggest match of his life.

When winter rolls around, life for the Cronin family revolves around wrestling.

For Keegan, the younger of the 2 Cronin brothers on the Packers team, wrestling is also what may have saved his life.

While, practicing against his brother this past November, Keegan suffered a groin injury.

Keegan Corbin: “I kind of didn't think much of it right away just because it's wrestling. I just thought I'm injured and I'll rest it a couple weeks.”

Keegan's pain only got worse, and eventually he had to have his right testicle removed.

Shortly after that surgery in mid-January, doctors met with the Cronin family and diagnosed Keegan with stage 3 cancer, the highest stage of testicular cancer that is treatable.

Last week, Keegan began chemotherapy, staying 6 days in the hospital, meanwhile back at school, his teammates were missing their friend.

Wahpeton fans and wrestlers showed up to last Friday's dual, wearing their support for Keegan. And it's support like that, that has this wrestler confident he'll take down cancer.

Like Dan Gable said, once you wrestle everything else in life is easy.
