Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - An early morning domestic dispute, turned into a SWAT team standoff, and finally, the arrest of a man wanted for armed robbery.

The standoff started and ended at this apartment at 2102 17th Street South.

Someone called police about a man and woman fighting and yelling just after 5 am.

Roughly 4 hours later, SWAT had a suspect in the January 7th Mister Money robbery in handcuffs.

Lt. Joel Vettel/Fargo Police Department: "Mr. Dida has been wanted by the Fargo police department since that incident"

When police got to the apartment, the woman involved in the domestic dispute was waiting outside.

She confirmed 22-year old Valeri Dida was the man she was arguing with.

One of 3 suspects wanted for the 25th street Mister Money armed robbery in South Fargo.

Police didn't take any chances, and called in SWAT.

Vettel: "Dealing with firearms causes law enforcement some concern so we're certainly being precautious."

Perimeters were setup around the complex and nearby apartments were evacuated before SWAT went inside, and started looking for Dida.

Vettel: "They methodically go through the apartment utilizing special tactics and also special equipment."

That's when SWAT found Dida in the third story apartment.

Vettel: "They located him in a back bedroom of the apartment. They ordered him out at gunpoint. He was taken into custody without incident."

Dida will face charges related to the armed robbery as well as violating a restraining order the women he was arguing with had against him.

Vettel: "When people commit these types of crimes in our community, they may not get arrested that day, they may not get arrested for a couple days, or it might be several weeks but they will get arrested."

With Dida's arrest, all three Mr. Money robbery suspects are now in custody.

Police are also investigating whether the woman involved in the dispute, who at one point had a relationship with Dida, knew of his whereabouts before this morning.
