Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Lexi Bolstad and her family are thanking NDSU college ambassadors for choosing them as the recipient of an annual fundraiser.
Lexi attended the kickoff with her parents Jon and Robin, showing how much she has improved since suffered a traumatic brain injury in August.
She left a rehab facility in Denver this past November.
The "Battle of the Cents-Es" is a fundraising competition between the college of Pharmacy and the college of Engineering.
Jon Bolstad/Lexi’s Father: "The accident has kind of been a nightmare, but it's also been very humbling because everyone has come together and helped us so much. We've come a long way. When we got to Cragg, she had to be lifted by a wench out of her bed and into a wheelchair. And when we left, we were there from September 9th to November 23rd, and when we left she walked out."
The fundraiser continues all week, the groups will be collecting donations each day from 10 a.m. To 2 p.m. at the NDSU Memorial Union.
