Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - That's not a surprise after hearing this next statistic.
More than 100 million people are expected to watch the Super Bowl Friday night.
That's a lot of people staying home, filing into sports bars, but not a lot of people out and about.
For those less football-inclined, it might be the perfect chance to run a few errands.
This is what the majority of us will be doing come Sunday evening watching the biggest television event of the year the Super Bowl.
But for those less inclined to watch the big game, it could be a great opportunity to get out and avoid battling crowds.
Isenija Mirabella/Fargo: "Maybe work out or go hang out at home or the mall."
Ande Sailer: "Totally go to like, a non-sports bar. They're always busy, especially downtown."
You could go grocery shopping; by nightfall, everyone will already have stocked up on the foods they need for their viewing parties.
And after kickoff it's likely the aisles will be deserted and the cashiers open.
Mirabella: "I can probably get in line first."
Say you decide to go see a movie. You'll have the best seat in the theater, and no waiting in line for popcorn.
Staff at Fargo's YMCA says Super Bowl night is usually a slow one; and this time of year, when many people are still motivated by their New Years' Resolutions, having a gym to yourself is a rare thing to come by.
Sailer: "You could just buzz through your work out without even thinking twice. No lines. You get the good treadmills, too."
Many of course, will still sacrifice this extra convenience to watch football's biggest night and spend time with friends.
