Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - One of the more inspirational stories to come out of Super Bowl week is Seattle Seahawks Player Derrick Coleman.

The fullback is deaf and his success on the field is inspiring to those who live in a silent world, every day.

West Fargo mechanic Chris Peterson is a Peyton Manning fan, but this Sunday, he will be cheering on the Seahawks.

That's because fullback Derrick Coleman has been very public recently about playing in the NFL as a deaf member of the Seattle team.

Chris has been deaf since he was a toddler, following a high fever. Today, he has a new machining and repair business, working with a half dozen other deaf men, all taking success tips from the Seattle Seahawks star.

Morgan Leapaldt is a 22-year old graphic design major at MSUM.

She lost her hearing after a freak incident.

A turtle her family brought home to her after fishing turned out to have salmonella.

The infection caused a raging fever which resulted in her being deaf, at 7-months old.

Morgan says she can take a lot from Derrick Colemans story now shared with the nation during Super Bowl Week.

Morgan admits she will be cheering for the Seahawks, Sunday, even though she says, she knows nothing about Football. Derric Coleman's story is enough to win her over.

During games, Coleman says he "reads lips" in order to know what plays will be run.
