Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The City of Fargo is making plans to simplify and maximize parking downtown.
The City Parking Commission gave the "ok" to the planning office.
Planners will work with a task force to take advantage of under-utilized parking spaces away from the core of downtown.
They will also develop four hour parking zones and expand 90 minute zones downtown.
Joe Nigg/Fargo City Planner: “We have 90 minute, we have half hour, we have 2 hour, we have 4 hour, we have all day parking in addition to 10 and 15 minute loading zones, We have, you know, a whole assortment of time zone and it's certainly more complex than it needs to be."
The planners will bring their plans back to the commission next month.
