St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - The Minnesota Wild did something last night that has only happened once this season, beat the Anaheim Ducks at home.

The Wild played their best game of the season all thanks to Zach Parise.

He was terrific last night, starting in the 2nd period, where he set up Mikael Granlund on this terrific pass to give the Wild a 2-1 lead.

That was the score into the 3rd when the Wild struck again, Marco Scandella's shot is tipped in perfectly by Parise.

3-1 Wild.

Just a couple minutes later they struck again, another deflection as Erik Haula gets his stick on it, a huge two points for the Minnesota Wild as they beat the Ducks 4-2.

Zach Parise/3 points last night: “It's a tough building, it's a really good team. For us, we have to take note of how we played and what we did. We forced them into some tough spots and forced them to turn the puck over, as a result we got the puck more. I think we have to be better puck possession wise and I think tonight was a good step.”

Mike Yeo/Wild Head Coach: “We've seen it right from the first game he's been back with us how many times we get the puck into the offensive zone, how many turnovers he creates, how much he helps us just to gain zone time in the offensive zone. He's created chances every game.”
