Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - For the second straight Monday we're dealing with nasty temperatures, but we're able to warm ourselves talking baseball, as former Twins great Jack Morris is in town for the annual Fargo American legion banquet and I asked him about his return to the Twins broadcast booth that starts this March.

Jack Morris/1991 World Series MVP: “It's always nice to be around people you know and understand, get to work with so many people I know guys in uniform and front office people and broadcast group on radio and television going to be fun being home again.”

“On average, per day how often are you asked about Game 7?”

Morris: “Well when I'm around a ballpark in Minnesota daily adventure, but I go all around the country I'm the old grey haired guy, doesn't seem to matter anymore, it's a reality check, it's good to be humbled in ways like that walk into ballpark no one recognizes you once in a while like that, glad I'm not super famous.”

“Do you feel that game has dwarfed your career, winningest pitcher of the 80's that almost everyone talks about 91 and Game 7 rather than the great career you had?”

Morris: “Don't know if I pitched better game, and Game 7 that's it, there's nothing more important in baseball world, it's a crowning moment in the game”

“You were on a team that went worst to first, are the elements there to have this team go from the basement to first place?”

Morris: “If they can have three different guys be American League pitchers of the month they have a chance we had that in 91, Scott Erickson, Kevin Tapani and me, all where pitchers of the month and think about that 5 months of the season, 3 we won that honor and we had solid pitching and we had the closer, Glen Perkins can be that guy, lot to be seen yet to see if the pitchers can be up to that level.”

Coming up tonight at 10, we'll hear Morris' thoughts about missing out on the Hall of Fame.
