Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -Lost in the success of the Bison football and men's basketball teams is the run that Roger Kish has the NDSU wrestling squad on.

The Bison are coming off a terrific weekend, beating two ranked teams Oregon State and Boise State, both on the road. This led to NDSU being ranked 23rd in the coaches poll, the highest in the Division One era.

The Bison have had some statement wins over the past couple of years and while the ranking is nice, they say they are staying focused on the ultimate goal.

Hayden Zillmer, Bison wrestler: ā€œIt helps our program a lot, helps everybody here, I feel like it helps our young guys stay motivated to be good and want to get in the lineup next year and push us through the end of this year.ā€

Roger Kish, Bison head coach: ā€œI don't think we don't take a look at the rankings too much as a team here, but it's nice to see that the recognition is getting there and ultimately we are not where we want to be. We are in the rankings. It's a great thing for our program and university, but we have bigger aspirations as a program, as a team, and we want to do a lot better things.

The Bison host Air Force on Friday, the Falcons come in winners of 5 of their last 6 duals.
