Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -Certain public schools in Fargo are getting a security makeover.
Every elementary and middle school in town will now have a buzzer system.
When you approach the building you'll have to buzz-in, identify yourself and then an office employee will unlock the door.
This kind of system is already in place at Horace Mann, Roosevelt and Longfellow schools.
Parents we spoke to say they enjoy the added piece of mind.
Jessica Larson, parent: “I love it, I think it's great for North Fargo and for Fargo schools. I feel that my kids are safe, I don't have to worry about them or anyone entering the building that's not supposed to be here during the day.”
Grant Money from the state will help fund the $30,000 project.
By March, the system should be up and running in every building.
