Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) -A piece of Metrodome history is finding a new home in Casselton.
The city's fast-pitch softball program has purchased more than 150 Metrodome seats.
These seats will go to build a new grandstand for one of the diamonds home to both youth baseball and softball games.
The roughly 6-thousand-dollar purchase wouldn't have been possible without help from the community.
Stephen Bartholomay, Casselton Park District director: ”Our blood got moving a little bit when we were down in the Metrodome and got a chance to pick them up, and when you unload them here in the building, you definitely get the urge to see green grass again so we can play baseball and softball again, absolutely.”
Construction for the new grandstand should begin either this coming fall, or spring of next year.
